Library Volunteers!

If you are a Library Aide or want to simply volunteer to help out the library, there will be a meeting on Thursday, September 1st during lunch in the Library!

Special thanks to Mrs. Valentine for volunteering to pick up and drop off our transits! Because of her, all students and staff will be able to get their holds at least twice a week. If you are a parent who wants to help out,  please send an email to the TCP Librarian. The address is at 172 East Merritt Street, Suite E – Prescott, AZ  86301.

Library Aide Orientation

The Library Aide Orientation held on Thursday was a success! Not only was everyone briefed on their duties, but also signed up for their faculty and area of expertise. Already we have apprentices (aka minions) lined up for training to keep the torch flaming as the library continues to progress.

Volunteers! Don’t you worry–there will be a meeting coming up soon to let you know what you can do to help. It’ll be posted on here and mentioned during the afternoon announcements. If you’re really looking for something to do, come on by the library before or after school.

New Resources

Just added 7 new ACT and SAT test prep books, 2 cd-roms, and an online practice study guide! These are available to use in the TCP library–don’t wait to start studying.

Studying spanish this year? Come check out our ¿Qué tal? Audio CD’s that follow through every chapter.

Don’t wait–find that required reading title in our YLN catalog. We even have many available on audiobook including All the President’s Men.

Library Aides!

After the assembly this last Thursday, over 20 students signed up to help us start, support and continue the TCP Library! These students have the opportunity to enhance their resumes, earn community service hours, and learn research skills that will be a great asset to a future career. Plus, they will help organize the cool events we’ll have this year.

Thank you all so much for your help. It’s so important to get everyone using the library and realize that it is useful.  Cheers to a great year to come!

Are you a PARENT who wants to help? We are looking for drivers to pick-up/drop-off our holds requests at the circulation center currently located at 172 East Merritt Street, Suite E – Prescott, AZ  86301 .  Please send an email or call at 928.777.0403 if you’re interested.

TCP Newest Library of the YLN!!!

On June 16, 2011, TCP became the newest member of the Yavapai Library Network! So, what does this mean for students and faculty?

  • Access to over a million items through 50 different libraries!
  • Interlibrary loans will come directly  to the TCP Library!
  • TCP Students IDs will now be TCP and Prescott Valley Library Cards! (Special thanks to Kathy Hellman, the PV Library Director)
  • Checking out is simpler–just write down your name, item title and barcode on the checkout sheet!

All students are required to fill out a Library Card Registration Form–even if you already have a YLN card so we can transfer your books here to TCP with your Student ID.
